Join Thomas Peer in the professional services team as a L2 IT Support Technician based at our Head office, on a full-time basis supporting our managed services based on Veeam. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with your passion for Customer Support, problem solving and innovation, while growing your knowledge and expertise.
You will have exposure to a broad range of Veeam related issues and will be part of the team that is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s managed services systems and associated hardware, plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software across the facility.
Qualifications & Attributes (Essential)
- At least a diploma in IT/ICT and/or minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
- Must be a certified Veeam Engineer – VMCE.
- Veeam specializes in data protection and management solutions, so having a strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, and cloud computing can be beneficial. Familiarity with Veeam’s products and services will be necessary.
- Previous experience in the IT industry, particularly in areas such as data protection, backup and recovery, virtualization, or storage, can be advantageous.
- Previous experience with data monitoring, pre-sales engineering, or customer support roles can also be considered.
- Strong technical and analytical skills are crucial, including problem-solving, troubleshooting, and the ability to understand and articulate complex concepts. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as Veeam values customer engagement and collaboration.
- Pragmatic approach to your work and good communication skills to deal with people with varying levels of tech savvy.
